Viet Nam leads medals table at the end of Sunday at ABG5
Vietnamese athletes won 3 gold, 4 silver and 11 bronze medals at the end of Sunday 25 September at the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5), helping the host country currently lead the medals table.

The first gold medal went to Phan Thi Phuong in the women’s Fairway single event of Beach Woodball. In the final match, Phuong beat her teammate Nguyen Huyen Trang 3-0.
This is an improvement from Phuong’s achievement two years ago when she got a silver in the 4th ABG which took place in Thailand's Phuket Town.
In addition, Nguyen Hong Quan also took a bronze medal in Woodball, making Viet Nam the best team in the sports, followed by Thailand and Indonesia.
Two other gold medals were won by Hoang Thi Tinh in the women’s 48kg, and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy in the women’s 52kg of Kurash.
