Free training course on acting for young people to open next month

A film programme entitled ‘Autumn Meeting’ will take place in Da Nang between 8 and 16 November.

During the event, actress Lydia Park from South Korea will offer a free training course on acting for local young people aged from 16 to 26.  Before the course, the participants are required to be cast in roles by Vietnamese-American director Charlie Nguyen and actress Kathy Uyen.

The 48-year-old actress has so far performed in several films which have been popular amongst Vietnamese movie lovers.  Included are Love Me Not in 2006, Mission Possible: Kidnapping Granny K and The Show Must Go On in 2007

The 9-day event will also be attended by South Korean actress Moon Sori who was the winner of the Best Newcomer at the 59th Venice Film Festival in 2002.  She will share her experience in filming.  Moon, 42, has received several top prizes at film festivals in both home and abroad.  She was the main actress in Oasis in 2002, A Good Lawyer’s Wife in 2003 and Forever the Moment in 2008.

Autumn Meeting is being held by independent director Phan Dang Di and his colleagues, film producers Tran Bich Ngoc and Nguyen My Dung.
