A photo exhibition entitled ‘Ao Dai Viet Nam’ (Vietnamese Traditional Long Dress) is taking place at the Museum of Da Nang, 24 Tran Phu until 30 October.

The event is part of the city’s celebrations for the 86th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam Women's Union on 20 October, which is also Vietnamese Women’s Day.

The exhibition has been jointly organised by the Museum of Da Nang and the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Association of Cultural Heritage, plus HCMC’s War Remnants Museum and Ao Dai Museum.

On display are 110 photos and other exhibits about ‘ao dais’ which were worn by Vietnamese women in their daily lives and during the national resistance movement against invading forces.
