Entitled ‘Bicycle Tour - A Journey to Discover the Beauty of the Son Tra Peninsula Nature Reserve’, the new programme is part of the city’s Earth Hour City Challenge (EHCC) programme for the 2017 - 2018 period.

The Department’s Deputy Director Huynh Thi Lieu Hoa remarked, “The new tour programme aims to create another attractive tourism product for local residents and visitors.  In addition, this will help the city to diversify its interesting tours which focus on conserving local natural resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and further enhancing the quality of life of the locals”.

She continued, “The new tour will encourage more locals to use bicycles in order to promote their city’s environmentally-friendly traffic system and protect their local environment.  It will also play a vital role in ensuring conservation of the city’s biodiversity and the protection of the local forest landscapes and the endangered red-shanked douc langurs on the Son Tra Peninsula”.
