SHB DN’s young striker Ha Duc Chinh opened the scoring for the home side in the 13th minute. However, the visitors continued controlling the game and they created many chances to score. SHB DN’s goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Binh was the hero when he saved shots in the 16th and 51st minutes.
In the 87th minute, Duc Chinh doubled the score for the home team, and for himself, after which SHB DN managed to hold on to their lead until the end. Duc Chin has now scored 3 goals in the 4 matches so far, one more than his number of yellow cards.
In the other matches, no other home team won their match. Long An suffered a 1-2 loss to Song Lam Nghe An, whilst Quang Ninh lost 1-3 to Quang Nam.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai drew 1-1 against Sai Gon, Khanh Hoa drew 2-2 with Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City suffered a 1-3 home defeat to Ha Noi, and Binh Duong drew 2-2 draw with Thanh Hoa.
After the first 4 rounds, Thanh Hoa remain top of the league with 10 points, followed by Ha Noi on 9 and Quang Nam on 8. SHB DN are in 4th place with 7 points, whilst Can Tho and Hoang Anh Gia Lai are the bottom 2, with just 2 and 1 respectively.
The V League programme will now be suspended for 3 weeks for the Tet holiday. The tournament will resume on Saturday 11 February, when SHB DN will be away to Ha Noi at 5.30pm.
