Tet performance to be staged along Han River bank

A performance to celebrate the Lunar New Year will take place at the eastern side of Da Nang’s Han River today, 30 January, (the 3rd day of the 1st lunar month).

A series of Vietnamese and international songs, along with dance items, will be performed at night for local residents and tourists. Folk music and games, and Tuong (classic drama) will also be shown.

According to a spokesperson for the municipal Tourism Department, more than 4,000 tourists had booked their vacation in the city during the Tet Festival.

A photo exhibition about the development of Da Nang is taking place at the city’s Administrative Centre on 24 Tran Phu until March.

In addition, an exhibition featuring the 12 animal designations of the lunar calendar is also taking place at the Fine Arts Museum at 78 Le Duan until 6 February. On display at the exhibition are 64 paintings, canvases, wood carvings and sculpture by 43 city artists.
