Organised by the district authorities, the event attracted a great deal of attention from local poetry lovers and school pupils.
The audience members were deeply impressed by the poem ‘Nam Quoc Son Ha’ (Mountains and Rivers of the Southern Country) written by Vietnamese General Ly Thuong Kiet, and the ‘Nguyen Tieu’ (Lantern Festival) by President Ho Chi Minh.
Numerous poems written by local poets, praising the beauty of Hai Chau District and Da Nang as a whole, were also introduced at the event. Included were ‘To Quoc 4,000 Nam’ (4,000-year History of the Fatherland) by Quoc Hoa, ‘Hai Chau Que Toi’ (Hai Chau District - My Hometown) by Hong Lich, ‘Song Han Va Em’ (The Han River and You) by Ngan Kieu, and ‘Da Nang Trong Tim Ta’ (Da Nang in my Heart) by Viet An.
