After the 3 week break for Tet, the V League resumed last weekend.

SHB Da Nang had a 1-1 draw at Ha Noi FC and have now dropped into 5th place in the league. However, a draw was perhaps a good result away from home to the 2016 V League Champions who were in 2nd place at the start of the day.
Ha Noi FC opened the scoring in the 43rd minute through midfielder Quang Hai’s extremely powerful shot from distance.
After adjustments to their tactics, SHB DN made varied attacks to put pressure on their rivals. Second-half substitute Nguyen Vu Phong levelled the game with a perfect free kick into the goal in the 72nd minute.
In the other matches, Sai Gon shared the points with Binh Duong after their 1-1 draw at the Thong Nhat Stadium, whilst Hai Phong defeated Long An 1-2 at the Long An Stadium.
FLC Thanh Hoa beat Ho Chi Minh City 1-0 at home, Sanna Khanh Hoa suffered a 0-3 loss to Quang Ninh at home, and Quang Nam defeated Song Lam Nghe An 2-4 at the Vinh City stadium. Hoang Anh Gia Lai lifted themselves off the bottom with a 3-0 home win over Can Tho.
After the first 5 rounds of matches, FLC Thanh Hoa currently top the league with 13 points, followed by Quang Nam on 11 and Ha Noi on 10. SHB DN now stand in 5th place with 8 points. Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho are the bottom pair, with 4 and 2 points respectively.
Another difficult match lies ahead for SHB DN who will next play current V League leaders FLC Thanh Hoa at home on Saturday 18 February at 5.00pm in the Hoa Xuan Stadium, Cam Le District.
