SHB DN took the lead in the first half thanks to great shots by midfielder Ho Ngoc Thang and striker Eydison in the 43rd and 45th minutes respectively.

However, in second-half stoppage time, Long An’s striker Ashkanov Apollon narrowed the gap to 1-2 with a free kick from the left wing.  The last few minutes were tense, but SHB DN managed to hold on to their lead until the end.

In the other matches, FLC Thanh Hoa had their 9-match unbeaten run ended by a 2-1 away loss to Ha Noi, losing to 2 very late goals.  They still top the league with 19 points, but are equal on points with Quang Nam who beat Can Tho 2-1 at home.

Quang Ninh had a 2-0 home win against Binh Duong, whilst Ho Chi Minh City were beaten at home 0-1 by Hai Phong.

Sanna Khanh Hoa played out a goalless draw at home to Sai Gon, and Song Lam Nghe An had a 2-0 home win over Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Below 2nd placed Quang Nam are Hai Phong on 17 points and Ha Noi on 16.  SHB DN are now in 5th place also on 16 points.  Can Tho and Long An are the bottom pair, with 5 and 4 points respectively.

SHB DN have no game this coming weekend, so they will next play Sanna Khanh Hoa at home on Saturday 1 April at 5.00pm in the new Hoa Xuan Stadium in Cam Le District.
