Results of contest for Tet floral displays and lighting decorations announced
The awards ceremony took place on Monday in Da Nang for the contest to find the best ideas for floral displays and lighting decorations for the 2018 Tet Festival which begins on 16 February.

Jointly organised by the municipal Construction Department and other relevant local agencies, the contest attracted a total of 29 students from local universities, a group of local architects, and a consultancy company.
The groups of local architects, and students from the city-based University of Architecture won the first prizes of 20 million VND for their design ideas on floral and lighting decorations respectively.
In addition, 1 second, 1 third and 3 consolation prizes were awarded in the category of floral displays, whilst 1 second, 1 third and 2 consolation prizes were given out to recipients in the remaining one.
Addressing the event, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan asked local universities to encourage their students to develop and submit even more innovative ideas to the city authorities for the sake of the city’s progress.
Appeals for public donations will be made to implement the winning ideas for floral displays and lighting decorations to celebrate Tet.
