The venue features a café, a reading area and a rest-stop for both locals and visitors.  It is the first of its kind in the downtown district.

Also available here are entertainment devices for children, along with a wide range of books in Vietnamese, English and Korean for both kids and adults.

As the first cooperative project between the 2 cities this year, the library was built at a total cost of 45,000 US$.  Of this figure, 30,000 US$ was donated by Daegu City, 10,000 US$ came from the Hai Chau District budget, and the remainder from public donations.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the venue, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh underscored the significance of the opening of the library in strengthening the bilateral relationship and cooperative ties between the 2 cities, and promoting a healthy reading habit amongst local residents as well.
