Free screenings of Vietnamese films from 24 – 28 Nov

Within the framework of the 20th Viet Nam Film Festival in Da Nang from 24 - 28 November, famous films will be screened at the Le Do Cinema at 46 Tran Phu, the CGV Vincom Da Nang at 910A Ngo Quyen, and the Galaxy Da Nang Cinema on the 3rd floor of the Coop Mart at 478 Dien Bien Phu.

Most notably, the majority of the soon-to-be-shown films have either dominated Viet Nam's box offices or won high awards at Viet Nam Film Festivals over the past 2 decades.

Free tickets for all the films are now available at the Le Do Cinema.

At the Le Do Cinema, Vietnamese-made movies participating in this year’s Festival will be screened here.  Included will be ‘Cha Cong Con’ (Father and Son), ‘Co Gai Den Tu Hom Qua’ (The Girl from Yesterday), ‘Sai Gon, Anh Yeu Em’ (Sai Gon, I Love You), ‘12 Chom Sao: Ve Duong Cho Yeu Chay (12 Zodiac: Five Steps of Love), ‘Dao Cua Dan Ngu Cu (The Way Station), ‘Su Menh Trai Tim’ (Mission of Heart), ‘Bao Gio Co Yeu Nhau (When We Fall in Love with Each Other), ‘Ban Gai Toi La Sep (My Girlfriend is the Boss) and ‘Co Hau Gai (The House Maid).

In addition, animations competing at the upcoming event will be shown at the cinema.  They will include ‘Ba Chu Ga’ (Three Chickens), ‘Bong Hoa Mat Troi (Sun Flowers), ‘Canh Dieu Cho Con’ (A Kite for You), and ‘Soc Nau Dang Yeu’ (Lovely Brown Squirrel).

The Galaxy Da Nang Cinema will feature the screenings of blockbusters which have won high awards at Viet Nam Film Festivals over the past 2 decades.  Most notable amongst them will be ‘Noi Gio’ (When Wind Blows), ‘Chi Tu Hau’ (Ms Tu Hau), ‘Chim Vanh Khuyen (White Eys), ‘Em Be Ha Noi’ (The Little Girl from Ha Noi), ‘Sao Thang Tam’ (August Star), ‘Canh Dong Hoang’ (The Wild Rice Field),

In particular, films which will compete at the 1st Viet Nam-initiated ASEAN Film Awards within the framework of the forthcoming Festival, will be shown at the Galaxy Da Nang Cinema.   These movies were produced by famous filmmakers from the members of the 10-country bloc.  They include ‘By the Time It Gets Dark’, ‘Adrift’, ‘Birdshot’, ‘Angel of Eden’, ‘Swan Lifts Turtle’, ‘Descendant’, ‘Turah’ and ‘Benevolence of Comtemporary Mother’.

There will be the screenings of Vietnamese documentaries and scientific films at the CGV Vincom Da Nang.  Included are ‘Khat Vong Hoang Sa - Truong Sa’ (Aspiration for Hoang Sa - Truong Sa’, and ‘Bac Si Yersin - Huyen Thoai Khi Con Dang Song’ (Legendary Doctor Yersin- When He was Alive).

Furthermore, such popular movies as ‘ Ve Si Gai Gon’ (Sai Gon Bodyguard), ‘Tam Cam: Chuyen Chua Ke’ (Tam Cam: The Untold Story) and ‘Nu Dai Gia’ (The Rich Woman) will be also screened at the same venue.
