Viet Nam ranks 3rd at Asian U23 Fencing Championships

Viet Nam placed 3rd at the Asian U23 Fencing Championships, which closed in Ha Noi on October 31.

The host athletes pocketed 3 silvers and 2 bronzes.
Vu Van Hung took the only individual silver in the men’s sabre. The 2 other silvers went to the men’s sabre and epee teams. The 2 bronzes were won by the women’s epee and sabre teams.
The Republic of Korea took the top position, winning 12 out of 14 titles at the competition. They also grabbed four silver and five bronze medals.
Hong Kong (China) finished second with 2 golds, three silvers and eight bronzes.
The championships attracted nearly 250 competitors from 21 delegations. Viet Nam, as the host, had the biggest number of 45 fencers.
