Da Nang plans to offer a second open-top bus service connecting the international airport with the Son Tra peninsula.

The city’s Department of Transport said the new service would begin later this month. It said it would be run by the Empire Group, and would operate every 30 minute from 7.00am to 10.00pm each day.
The service, which will use eight 45-seat buses, will start from the airport and wind through main and coastal streets before stopping at the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Mountain.
Last July, the first open-top double-decker bus tour was launched to connect the airport with CocoBay – Da Nang’s largest entertainment complex – in Ngu Hanh Son District.
According to the city’s Tourism Department, the new service aims to capitalise on local beautiful beaches and iconic bridges over the Han River.
In 2012, the city operated the first battery-powered cars for tourists travelling along coastal beaches.
