Secretary Nghia urged them to enhance the quality of arts performances, promote the professionalism in organising arts events, and ensure the effective use of the theatre’s facilities.  The intention is to generate higher revenues to the theatre, and raise income for the venue’s staff.

To mark the event, on behalf of the city’s leaders, Secretary Nghia presented a large screen television to the theatre’s dance studio.

The city’s Party chief highlighted the importance of identifying long-term strategies by the theatre’s leaders for creating even more fascinating arts programmes.  In addition, importance should be attached to promoting advertisement activities for the theatre, and recruiting even more talented artistes.

Mr Nghia underlined the significance for granting funds from the municipal People’s Committee for the theatre to help it refurbish some of its downgraded facilities.  The refurbishment should be completed before the 2018 National Professional Music and Dance festival which is scheduled to take place at the theatre in the middle of this year.

The theatre’s Director Tran Quang Hao remarked “Over the past 3 years, the focus has been on promoting innovations in the theatre’s operation activities.  Importance has been also attached to boosting the theatre’s cooperation with domestic and foreign individuals and organisations to organise many arts programmes, and to host large-scale political events.  To date, the venue has generated higher revenues against previous years, which helps to raise the income of its staff members and artistes”.

During their meeting with Secretary Nghia, leaders of the Trung Vuong Theatre asked the municipal government to grant 7.9 billion VND for their organisation to upgrade some of its downgraded facilitates.
