A wide range of exciting Viet Nam - South Korea cultural exchange activities took place at the Da Nang- Daegu Park-Book Café at 31 Le Ba Trinh in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, attracting a great deal of attention from the general public.

Mr Phan Van Tan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Chau District People's Committee, said the district and South Korea’s Daegu City jointly started conducting their cultural exchanges through last year’s opening of the park which has become a healthy entertainment rendezvous for local residents. 

The venue combines a café, reading space and rest-stop for locals and tourists.  It is the first free-of-charge book reading centre in this downtown community, and the first cooperation project between the 2 cities as well.

Jointly organised by the district authorities and the Daegu Technical Association of Skilled Crafts, this year’s event featured the introduction of the recipes of traditional South Korean dishes and its special cultural identities.  Furthermore, visitors had the opportunity to have their photos taken wearing the South Korean traditional costume hanbok, to access beauty care instructions, and participate in various exciting activities.
