The first matches of this year’s league are scheduled to take place at stadiums across the country on 10 March.

It is easily realised in the official fixtures that, the SHB Da Nang ‘warriors’ are likely to  face tough matches against their strong contenders, especially in the first rounds of this year’s tournament.

In detail, in the 1st round of the league, SHB Da Nang will play away to Than Quang Ninh at 6.00pm on Sunday, 11 March, followed by a home game against current champions Quang Nam on 17 March in the 2nd round.

As for the subsequent rounds of the league, the city’s team will play away to Sanna Khanh Hoa on 22 March, and Sai Gon FC 31 March, Ha Noi FC 14 April, HAGL 21 April, Hai Phong 5 May, Ho Chi Minh City 19 May, Binh Duong 25 May, Can Tho 29 May, Song Lam Nghe An 3 June, Nam Dinh 8 June, and Thanh Hoa 12 June.

During last year’s V-League, SHB DN recorded lower-than-expected results due to unexpected injuries of its key players and this has somewhat dashed the team’s hopes.  In the end, SHB DN were only in 9th place with 33 points.

Hopefully, SHB DN's coach Nguyen Minh Phuong and his squad will do their utmost to  gain the best possible results from the new league season.

Currently, the home team is focusing on developing its squad, especially how quickly the new foreign players settle into the team.

Notably, SHB DN have recently signed Brazilian striker Diogo Pereira from Becamex Binh Duong ahead of the upcoming season.

Born in Sao Paulo, the 1.84m tall player represented the under-17 team of Palmeiras as a youth.  He joined Guarani academy in 2010, and made his professional debut with the senior team the same year.

Besides Pereira, the team has 2 new foreign footballers from Brazil and Croatia on trial.  Coach Phuong wants midfielders before finalising his squad for the premier league.
