A traditional Vietnamese long dress contest will be organised in Prague, Czech Republic, in mid-June.

The event will be hosted by the Union of Vietnamese People in Europe and the Viet Nam Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic, as well as the Vietnamese Women’s Association in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Germany.

The contestants will participate in three rounds: party dresses, ‘ao dai’ (traditional Vietnamese long dresses) and reformed ‘ao dai’. The organisers will award eight main prizes and 12 additional prizes.

The event will be considered a playground for Vietnamese women in Europe and a chance to promote the beauty of ‘ao dai’ among the European people.
