The 3.68m-diameter banh xeo was made from 139kg of rice flour, 50kg of shrimps, 50kg of pork, 20kg of bean sprouts, 20 litres of peanut oil, and it was served with 80 kg of fresh vegetable.
Most notably, the pan for making such special cake was made by craftsmen from Phuoc Kieu Bronze Casting Village in Dien Phuong Commune, Dien Ban District, Quang Nam Province. The total weight of the pan and its cover was up to 668kg.
The making of this pancake was part of the city’s activities to celebrate Month of Workers 2018. To mark the event, the organisers donated 50 million VND to build a house for a very poor local worker, and presented gifts, valued at 700,000 VND each, to another 20 workers living in difficult circumstances.
