Exciting Dutch Day 2018
Last Saturday, the Dutch Embassy in Viet Nam, the Dutch Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Da Nang People’s Committee, jointly organised the Dutch Day 2018 in the city.

In his remarks at the event, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh highlighted the significance of the event in increasing mutual understanding between people of Dutch localities and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, as well as opening up a chance for local residents to understand more about the Netherlands and its people.
The city leader affirmed that the event provided the opportunity for local pupils and students to access the foreign country’s advanced educational programmes, and helped to boost the bilateral cooperative relations with Dutch organisations and businesses.
The 2-day event featured several exciting activities such as a bike parade, taking souvenir photos, learning about the Netherlands and its people, a painting exhibition, and a book display. In addition, visitors were introduced to the studying in this foreign country.
Dutch Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Carel Richter remarked that the similar event will take place in Da Lat in June, Hai Phong in September, and Can Tho in November with the themes of agriculture, maritime and climate change.
