The 7th DA NANG Newspaper Football Tournament for primary and junior high school pupils will take place from 10 - 16 May.  However, the Tien Son Sports Arena where the previous tournaments took place has been chosen to host the National Futsal Championships 2018 from 1 May to 29 September. Therefore, Director of the Department Nguyen Dinh Vinh gave his opinion about organising this year’s football tournament at the gymnasium of the Le Quy Don Senior High School for Gifted Pupils.

Mr Vinh highlighted the significance of supporting, and sharing responsibility with the organisers in ensuring the successful organisation of this year’s tournament. The main reason is that the annual event creates a useful playground for local primary and junior high school pupils. Moreover, this sports event helps pupils to strengthen their physical health, and significantly contributes to improving the quality of physical education at local schools.

Mr Le Vinh, Principal of the Le Quy Don School, remarked that his school has been chosen by many local departments and agencies to organise numerous sporting activities over recent years.  He added that his school’s staff would do their part to ensure the success of this year’s tournament.

Despite many difficulties during their preparations for this year’s tournament, Director Vinh affirmed that his Department will join forces with the organisers to ensure the success of this event.  Another focus will be on widely publicising the tournament amongst local school pupils in order to promote the development of their school football.

Mr Le Quang A, the Newspaper’s Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Head of the organisers, thanked the Department’s leaders for their actively support in organising the event. He hoped that more support will continue to be given to the tournaments in the years ahead.
