In the local photography community, Lo is famous for his stunning photos capturing the beauty of festivals.
Actually, this talented photographer has risen to fame thanks to the wonderful capture of moments of Vietnamese women wearing ‘ao dai’ (the Vietnamese traditional long dress).
When asked about what inspired him to take photos of ‘ao dai’ , Lo said Vietnamese women are most charming, graceful and gentle when wearing this traditional costume, and this image has ingrained deeply in his mind.
Lo got started making a living with photography in 1995.
In 2011, one of his photos was selected to be displayed at a municipal-level exhibition held by the city’s Artistic Photography Association, and this really inspired him to pursue his ambition of making a fantastic career as a professional photographer.
In 2006, Lo became an official member of the city’s Artistic Photography Associatio, and since then, his photographic skills have been enhanced considerably.
In his point of view, photography is an artistic pursuit, and like all art forms, the attraction lies not in its earning potential but in his desire to do something creative, and worthwhile.
The experienced photographer has always longed for an ‘ao dai’-themed photo exhibition.
At present, Lo is selecting 50 most outstanding photos capturing the allure of Vietnamese women wearing ‘ao dai’ for display at an exhibition which is slated for late this year.
‘Net Duyen’ (The Charm) is one of his favourite amongst his rich collections.

Lo said he was taking a stroll along the Bach Dang pedestrian promenade, a popular hang-out place, to take photos as routine, when he saw 2 beautiful women dressed in ‘ao dai’ leisurely going sightseeing there. As per Lo’s proposal, these women, who hail from Ho Chi Minh City were in the spotlight of ‘Net Duyen’.
The highly impressive photo was then chosen to be on display at an exhibition held by the Ho Chi Minh City Artistic Photography Association.
‘Net Duyen’, along with other stunning photos of ‘ao dai’ have been put onto the covers of many domestically published magazines and newspapers.
Photographer Lo said his family itself is the big source of spiritual encouragement for his long-life career so that he can live a life full of strong passion for photography.
