The S.hub sharing space at the Da Nang General Science Library located at 36 Bach Dang is being preferred by local children.

S.hub features a studying space equipped with advanced technologies. There are a reading room for kids, research rooms for adults, and areas for events, exhibitions, self-study and group discussions. All the rooms here are equipped with outdoor projectors 85”, smart screens 85” and 55”, the virtual reality VR, camera 360 degree and smart phone Galaxy S8, along with other modern devices.

When visiting S.hub, kids can experience advanced technologies and study on education software.

Since early June, the Samsung Vina Electronics Co Ltd, the LEGO Education organisation and the library have together opened the STEM Club at the S.hub sharing space.

Accordingly, many trial STEM-robotics classes are open to children and the trainees have a chance to practise programming and assembling robots by applying natural science knowledge. These classes have drawn a great deal of attention from both children and their parents.

The purpose of the classes is to boost their creative thinking, and improve interaction, team-working and problem-solving skills via careful observation and logical thinking.

Mr Nguyen Tri Thong, Communications Director of the Samsung Vina Company, said that STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM is based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines in an interdisciplinary and applied approach rather than teach the four disciplines separate.

STEM programmes are providing pupils with unique learning opportunities. Cutting edge technology, training systems, curriculum and eLearning solutions position our clients to deliver this learning in a captivating, efficient and fun fashion, he added.

Apart from scientific and technological games, some parents have paid special attention to facilitating their children to take swimming courses.

Mr Truong Ngoc Minh from Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward remarked “I often take my daughter to beach every afternoon. This is a chance for my little girl to improve her swimming skills, and for our family members to create memorable moments together during the summer holiday”.

Also, Mrs Ho Thi Minh Ngoc from Son Tra District’s Nai Hien Dong Ward has taken her 6-year-old daughter to short-term swimming courses in the district. The aim is to help her kid to improve her health and make her more confident.

Although there are various exciting activities for kids during summer holiday, a lot of parents complain of not having enough time with their children.

Therefore, they decide to take their children to the Children’s Cultural Palace in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward near the Asia Park for studying.

The Palace is a perfect place for parents who do not have enough time for their children during 3-month school holiday break.

At the Palace, pupils will review their school lessons in the morning, and learn such aptitude subjects as singing, dancing, drawing, martial arts, football and badminton in the afternoon.
