Japanese artists perform in city
As part of a series of events to mark the 45th anniversary of the Viet Nam - Japan diplomatic ties, a quartet from Japan performed at Da Nang’s Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre on Tuesday. The Japanese violists were Masakazu Saito, Shunichiro Sato, Yumiko Nakagawa and Tetsuya Osawa.

The concert was jointly organised by the municipal Union of Friendship Organisations, the city branch of the Viet Nam-India Friendship Association, and Ms Usuda Reiko, Director of the Tani Toshiko Fund.
The event was supported by musicians Le Cat Trong Ly and Nguyen Thanh Tu, Tetsuji Honna (Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra music director and head conductor), Saeko Ando (Japanese lacquer artist), and Le Ly Hayslip, a Vietnamese-American writer.
Today, 27 June, the Japanese quartet is scheduled to perform at the General Science Library from 9.30am - 11.00am, and the Cancer Hospital from 3.30pm - 4.30pm.
