Last Saturday, SHB Da Nang continued to disappoint their fans with a 4-1 away loss to Binh Duong.
SHB’s coach Nguyen Minh Phuong once again changed his team’s counter-attacking formation. It is worth mentioning that his change not only did not bring expected results but also made SHB players be in a stalemate.
In addition, there was too much space left between SHB’s midfielders and strikers, facilitating their rivals to threaten their goal.
By contrast, taking the advantage of playing at home, Binh Duong started the game with confidence.
Midfielder Thanh Thao scored a brilliant opener for the hosts in the 27th minute with a powerful header.
In the 34th minute, midfielder Kouassi Yao Hermann’s accurate shot from distance levelled the score at 1-1 for SHB.
However, only 7 minutes later, SHB’s loose defence provided striker Tien Linh with the opportunity to increase the score to 2-1 for Binh Duong.
In the 50th minute, striker Chinedu Udoka Onyelonu’s shot raised the score to 3-1, and then the foreign player completed his double for Binh Duong in the 61st minute.
The other match results were:
Can Tho 1-3 Sai Gon
Song Lam Nghe An 3-1 Hoang Anh Gia Lai
Nam Dinh 1-1 Quang Nam
FLC Thanh Hoa 2-3 Ha Noi
Sanna Khanh Hoa 0-0 Hai Phong
Ho Chi Minh City 2-1 Quang Ninh
Ha Noi FC currently top the league with 51 points, followed by Sanna Khanh Hoa on 35, and Song Lam Nghe An on 32. SHB DN are in 10th place on 23 points. Nam Dinh and Can Tho are the bottom pair, with 18 and 17 points respectively.
