On Wednesday, a total of 150 members of the Youth Union organisations in Cam Le, Hai Chau, and Son Tra districts attended a ‘Listening to Artifacts’ programme at the Museum of Da Nang located at 24 Tran Phu.

Themed ‘Anti-French Resistance War in Da Nang during the 1858-1860 period’, the programme was part of a series of activities to mark 160 years since the French and Spanish invaders attacked Da Nang, and began the war to invade Viet Nam in 1858.

The intention of the programme is to highlight the significance of the historic victory of the Da Nang people during the anti-French resistance war, as well as to educate young generations about the national tradition of fighting against foreign invaders.

The visitors were introduced to artifacts themed ‘Da Nang began the anti-French resistance war during the 1858-1860 period’ at the Museum.

In addition, they learned about the Citadel-related general information through a ‘Thu Thu Thanh Dien Hai’ royal honour-conferring diploma, cannons from the Nguyen Dynasty, and a battle map in 1858.
