In the duration of between 3 and 4 hours, Dreamy Painting artists step by step wholeheartedly help participants turn their white canvas sheets into wonderful paintings for decoration at home.

Interestingly, Dreamy Painting is the brainchild of 30-year-old Vu Van, who graduated in foreign languages, and now works as a human resources employee at a city-based IT company.

Despite not having excellence at painting, Van shows her keen interest in admiring the allure of nice paintings. That’s the reason why started operating Dreamy Painting in 2016.

At a recent weekend, a small corner of the Da Nang Zone at 38 Pasteur, Hai Chau District, saw joyful atmosphere as a total of 10 adults and children eargerly “played” with amazingly flexible colours.

28-year-old instructor Tran Kim Linh, who graduated in interior design in 2014 and now runs his own gallery in the city, enthusiastically gave step-by-step guidance’s to “first-time painters” on how to appropriately mix colours, use brushes, develop ideas, and identify the structure to the layout of the painting.

It is reported that the participating children have the tendency of drawing the lovely images of such familiar animals as cats and rabbits.

Ms Tran Thi Thuy Duong, a 31-year-old accountant from Lien Chieu District happily said Dreamy Painting really gives the great encouragement to her to paint whatever passes through her head, in tune with her own feelings. In particular, the female beginner was very happy to bring home her lovely painting for decoration.

Meanwhile, Ms Bich Trang from Hai Chau District said her children are very keen on participating in highly practical Dreamy Painting classes with great enthusiasm.

It is no denying that this is an unbelievably interesting way to gradually separate kids from video games, televisions, computers and smartphones.

Dreamy Painting classes are currently organised at weekend at the Zone Da Nang at 38 Pasteuand and at the Book Library & Café at 12 Cao Thang under the guidance of 3 arts teachers.

These several-hour classes feature acrylic paint which is one of the most versatile mediums, and one of the least toxic. It is water-soluble when wet and yet, because it is a plastic polymer, dries into a flexible, water-resistant, and durable surface to which subsequent layers of paint can be added without disturbing the underlying layers.

In fact, joining in Dreamy Painting classes, beginners might be surprised by how easy painting is. They come to realise that the desire to learn to paint coupled with enthusiasm are what they need more than anything else as they can even learn to paint without being able to draw realistically.
