The Da Nang Tourism Department has released compulsory introductory commentaries for oral presentations about local attractions, with their versions in the Chinese and Korean languages. 

The compulsory introductory commentaries about local attractions are very useful for tour guides, especially young ones.

The release of the introductory documents aims to avoid the spread of distorted information about the truth of Da Nang’s history and its culture, and those of Viet Nam as a whole.

These copies of these documents are now offered to the city’s Travel Association, the municipal Tourist Guides’ Association, and travel agencies across the city.

Common introductory documents are about an overview of the city, the museums of Da Nang and Cham Sculpture, and such other attractions as the Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Marble Mountains Tourism Area.

These materials will serve as an effective tool for the tourism sector to tighten the inspection and supervision of tourism violations in the city.

Do Quoc Tuan, an independent tour guide, highly praised the common introductory documents on local attractions for their convenience and usefulness for tour guides, especially young ones.

Mr Huynh Duc Trung, the Head of Tourism Management Office of the municipal Department of Tourism, noted that if tour guides fail to comply with the compulsory documents, they will be handled in line with the national Law of Tourism.

The Da Nang Museum is now one of the most popular tourist sites for Chinese and South Korean tourists.

Ms Ngo Bich Van, the museum’s Deputy Director said that, in addition to the utility of the Chinese and South Korean versions of the already-released introductory documents, the museum would introduce an audio guide app in the English and French languages. The purpose is to diversify and enhance the quality of guide services at the museum. 

Audio guide provides a recorded spoken commentary, normally through a handheld device, to a visitor attraction such as a museum. They are also available for self-guided tours of outdoor locations, or as a part of an organised tour.

Apart from providing introductory commentaries about local attractions, the municipal Department of Tourism has also provided video demonstrations in the Chinese and Korean languages for tourist boats operating on the romantic Han River.
