Viet Nam win AFF Suzuki Cup trophy
Viet Nam held the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup trophy again after 10 years after beating Malaysia 1-0 in the second-leg final of the tournament that took place at the My Dinh National Stadium, Ha Noi, on Saturday night.

Nguyen Anh Duc heated up the atmosphere at the stadium and outside when he scored from a wonderful volley inside the box in the 6th minute.
Earlier, Tran Dinh Trong was fouled right in the beginning of the match.
Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Van Lam received a yellow card after a clash with Malaysian forward Zaquan Adha in the 8th minute.
In the 10th minute, Malaysia's Mohamadou Sumareh took a backheel shot but it did not go in.
Nguyen Trong Hoang received a yellow card for fouling a Malaysia player in the 16th minute. Tran Dinh Trong got a yellow card, a third for Viet Nam 3 minutes later.
The 44th minute marked an excellent save from Dang Van Lam as he blocked a shot from outside the box of a Malaysia player.
The score was maintained until the end of the first half.

During the second half, the Vietnamese football players were proactive in attacking and coordinated with each other harmoniously.
Lam made another amazing save from a header of a Malaysia player in the 50th minute and saved a free kick from outside the box in the 53rd minute.
Nguyen Phong Hong Duy took a shot from long distance but it went over the bar.
In the 78th minute, Malaysia's Muhammad Syafiq was given a yellow card for tackling on Nguyen Quang Hai.
Just one minute later, the team’s captain Mohd Zaquan received a yellow card for fouling Dang Van Lam, the fifth for Malaysia.
The second half had 4 additional minutes.
No more goals were scored until the referee blew the final whistle, and football fans nationwide are expected to enjoy a big fest tonight.

Viet Nam stormed emphatically into the final of the AFF Cup after the team drew Malaysia in the first-leg final of the AFF Cup at the Bukit Jalil national stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11 December.
Speaking to reporters at the pre-match conference in Kuala Lumpur on 10 December, coach Park Hang-seo pointed out that it has been 10 years since the team has played in a major final.
At the press conference on 14 December, the head coach also said he would meet Republic of Korea and Vietnamese supporters’ expectations by keeping the AFF Championship trophy at home.
Viet Nam glowed bright red on Saturday night as celebrations took place every corner of the country cheering the victory freshly claimed by the men’s football team.
Fans are stuck on the streets, yet they all wear smiles.
The AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, a biennial football tournament, was played from 8 November to 15 December at different stadiums in Southeast Asia. The second leg of the final match of the latest edition ended a couple hours ago with Viet Nam beating Malaysia 1-0 and winning the championship after a decade.
This year has seen impressive achievements in Vietnamese football. In January, Hai was part of the Vietnamese team that battled to the final and finished runner-up at the Under-23 AFC championship. Hai scored five goals. The Vietnamese Olympic football team also became a semi-finalist for the first time at the Asian Games 2018.
