Ba Na Tulip Festival sets Guinness Viet Nam Record
The ongoing Tulip Festival at Da Nang’s Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort has been recognised as the biggest of its kind in Viet Nam by the Guinness Viet Nam Record.
The flower festival is taking place from 14 February - 31 March. Themed ‘Land of Colourful Flowers’, it has turned the Sun World Ba Na Hills into a little ‘Netherlands’ with over one million tulips.
More than 15 world-famous types of tulips are on display at the event, such as Flash Point, Green Dance, Indiana, Purple Valley and Negrita.
The flowers have been imported directly from the Netherlands, and grown in Da Lat City, which has ideal weather conditions for tulips to grow.
Most notably, some of them have been grown in Ba Na which is called the second Da Lat City in Viet Nam.
One of the most special thing is that these double flower varieties are only available in the Ba Na Hills Resort, including Strong Gold, Spryng Break, Alibi, Yellow Flight, and White Liberstar.
Mr Tran Hoang, Chairman of the Viet Nam Marketing Association cum a Standing member of the Viet Nam Record Setting Council, remarked the flower festival is a unique tourism product at the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort, helping to widely advertise the images of the national tourism to international friends.
