Da Nang’s image will be promoted in the coming time through the Raid Amazones 2019, which is scheduled to be held by the France-based ZBO organisation in the city from 11 to 22 October.

The statement was confirmed by Mr Alexandre Debanne, a high-ranking leader from the ZBO during his Monday meeting with municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung about the organisation of the Raid Amazones 2019 and ways to attract even more European tourists to Da Nang in the coming time.

According to Mr Alexandre Debanne, most of the participants in the Raid are debutant Amazons, mainly French nationals aged 30-60, who have good income, high demand for cultural and sports activities, and they are amateur sports athletes.

Each team of 3 Amazons sets off on the different sporting trials - foot race, mountain bike, canoe, orientation course, archery - all set in the most beautiful scenery the chosen city has to offer.

All the participants are offered the possibility of discovering some of the most glorious sites on the planet, and to share the life-style of the local residents, by helping them with their daily tasks, or by discovering their customs.

The sporting level is accessible to all, for one good reason – everyone is allowed the possibility of testing their limits and trying to push beyond them as a team. On the Arbre Vert Raid, sport is a way of expressing their solidarity, discovering their own capacities, and sharing the experience with others.

Currently, the event organiser has implemented promotional video clips of the Raid Amazones 2019 in Da Nang, posted it on the fanpage of the contest.

On behalf of the city leaders, Vice Chairman Dung highly applauded the ZBO organisation for choosing Da Nang as the organising venue for the this international sporting event, and advertising the Da Nang image on its communication channels, thereby helping to promote the development of the local tourism industry.

He remarked that the Raid Amazones offers an opportunity for the contestants to explore the land, people, landscapes and cultural values of Da Nang.

After the survey of organising venues conducted by ZBO, relevant local agencies are willing to support the organiser in terms of security and medical services for the competition. Accordingly, escort vehicles, ambulances, security services will be available during the event.
