Due to many objective and subjective reasons, SHB Da Nang have recorded lower-than-expected results at recent V-League seasons, and this has somewhat dashed the team’s hopes.

However, the city leaders always stand side by side with the local club to help them overcome difficulties in order to meet local fans’ great expectations and gradually re-confirm their position as one of strongest football clubs nationwide.

This statement was made by municipal People's Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung at Wednesday’s send-off ceremony for the SHB Da Nang squad as they are heading for upcoming Viet Nam's top-tier V League 2019 season.

Also in his remarks at the event, Chairman Trung suggested that both the coaching board and footballers should show their stronger solidarity, determination and professionalism in practice and competition activities in order to gain the best possible results from the forthcoming national premier league.

On behalf of the SHB DN Football Club, its Chairman Bui Xuan Hoa reported to the high-ranking official about the club’s preparations for this year’s v-league season.

In addition, Mr Hoa pointed out some difficulties facing the club in this year’s tournament.

In particular, SHB DN lack of some of their key players like Vo Huy Toan and Ho Ngoc Thang due to their unexpected injuries.

The local team also face difficulties in recruiting players through transfer windows because SHB Da Nang is no longer a favourite destination for both domestic and foreign footballers like before.

Besides, training programmes for younger footballers have been interrupted for many years; so, local young players have not met the requirements of their coaches.

He, however, emphasised that Le Huynh Duc has agreed to take the driving seat of SHB DN, which is expected to create extra motivation and vitality for the local team.

Also at the send-off ceremony, SHB players received new shirts from sponsor Kamito.

On behalf of the city leaders, Chairman Trung and Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Van Mien together presented flowers and laudatory banner to representatives from the SHB Da Nang Sports Joint Stock Company and SHB DN Club.
