Following recent approval from the Da Nang People’s Committee, the Da Nang International Food Festival 2019 will take place at the park near the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge in Son Tra District from 31 May - 7 June

The international event will introduce delicious speciality dishes to locals and visitors, as well as promote the city’s tourism to both domestic and foreign visitors.

The highlight of the event will be an international culinary space with between 15 and 20 stands which showcase the cuisine of such foreign countries as China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain, South Africa, and France.

In addition, there will be between 5 and 7 stands to introduce local specialities, including ‘bun mam nem’ (rice vermicelli with anchovy fish sauce), ‘banh xeo’ (steamed rice flour pancakes), ‘Mi Quang’ (Quang noodles), ‘banh trang cuon thit heo’ (belly pork and vegetables wrapped in soft rice paper), ‘nem lui’ (grilled meat roll), ‘com ga’ (chicken rice), and seafood.

Besides, some amazing souvenirs highlighting characteristic of the seaside city will be on sale at the upcoming festival, whilst nightly cooking and musical performances will also be held.

The organisation of the international-scale festival is expected to cost 2.062 billion VND. Of this, over 661 million VND will come from the Tourism Department’s budget, whilst the remaining 1.4 billion VND will be from private investment.
