Co-organised by the Da Nang- based Green Eco Adventures LTD Company and the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the Barefoot Green Run 2019 will take place on 27 April at the East Sea Park.

This interesting event is part of the Green Eco Adventures LTD Company's “Green Events” project - one of the community fundraising projects for programmes involving in physical education, multimedia, and research and development of environmental solutions. Besides, this project offers support for partners in the Green Eco Adventures Network to pursue sustainable development models.

The Barefoot Green Run 2019 conveys the inspirational message “Be a Green Runner” in a great effort to raise public awareness of environmental protection. Noticeably, this event will say “no” to the utility of single-use water bottles and printed publications.

This year’s event will feature 3 separate races, namely 2km Easy/ Family Run, 3km Fun Run and 7km Heat Challenge.

Easy/ Family Run will be an easy task for beginners, and it will be very suitable for families, especially children. Attractive English scholarships will be granted to outstanding child participants.

Fun Run will offer the opportunity to white-collar workers to challenge themselves. Souvenir medals made from recycled products and running kits will be given to the runners after they finish the race.

Heat Challenge, the most challenging race at the event, will be very inviting to those who are interested in personal fitness and have secured their physical strength. However, it is not easy to overcome the challenge because the participants will be required to run without footwear, bring one empty biodegradable cup of water with them, and only receive water at the points of 1.75km and 6km along their running way.

In addition, once they finish the race, the contestants have to place the cup of water into the designed collection area in line with the meaningful spirit “Be a Green Runner” of the competition.
