Currently, the two fireworks teams are busy in preparing for their shows on Saturday (8 June).

Mr Cliff Hooge, the leader of the Belgian team, revealed their upcoming performance will have the theme of ‘The Greatest Show’. Inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum of the Barmum and Bailay Circus, their show aims to pay tribute to the biggest show productions and performers who travel around the world to entertain and amaze thousands of spectators.

He added their show reflect all aspects of their constant moving life from the adrenaline rush on stage till the lonely moments away their family and the amazing reward you get from the audience.

Mr Cliff Hooge noted his team members have been making every effort to complete the preparation work to deliver their best possible performance on Saturday despite the recent hot weather.

Having participated in the international fireworks event for the first time, team News Fireworks do Brasil from Brazil promise to produce a wonderful fireworks display.

According to the Brazilian team’s leader Alessandra Elisa Zanotto, her team decided not to use too many high-level fireworks in order to attract the attention from the audience to low and mid-level fireworks.

“We hope the audience will watch the effects of fireworks in the sky as if they are holding their breath to watch artists drawing a big picture in the night sky”, she added.

Ms Zanotto added using the blue fireworks as their main colour, their performance aims to raise public awareness about protecting environment and buds of life in association with the theme of the second night of DIFF 2019.

The Brazilian team will choose the theme ‘Mysteries of Rivers’ for their coming 20-minute show.

The show is expected to touch the heart of the audience, creating suspense and pathos, changing the intensity of the music during the display.

Ms Nadia Wong Abdullah, the Director of the Global2000 Company from Malaysia, the consultants for DIFF 2019, said last Saturday calm winds partly affected the fireworks performances produced by Da Nang-Viet Nam and Russian teams as this weather condition hindered the process of clearing the smoke from previous fireworks.

She, however, said the participating teams were under pressure because they competed in the first night of DIFF 2019, so the judges would assess their performances through many different factors.

She also hoped that the first-time-participating teams would create new wind to the DIFF 2019.
