Da Nang finish 2nd at National Swimming and Diving Championships
The 2019 National Swimming and Diving Championships concluded at the Da Nang Diving and Swimming Club on Wednesday.

After days of the swimming competition, the Da Nang team ranked 2nd with 6 gold and 6 silver medals.
During the competition, local swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc gave impressive performances as he won 4 well-deserved gold medals in the men’s 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, and 100m butterfly individual events.
In addition, Phuoc and the other members of the city’s male relay team grabbed two gold medals in the 4 x 100m and 4 x 200m freestyle relay races.
Meanwhile, the silver medal winners were the ‘extraordinary man of the Han River’ Phuoc in the men’s 400m freestyle, and 50 and 200m butterfly individual events, Le Thi Nhu Quynh in the women’s 200m frog individual event, the city’s male relay team in the 4 x 100m mixed relay race, and the city’s mixed relay team in the 4 x 100m mixed relay race.
Ho Chi Minh City’s team finished in 1st place with 8 gold medals, 4 silver and 4 bronze, whilst Long An team were 3rd with 6 gold medals, 5 silver and 5 bronze.
Previously, during the diving competition, the team from Ho Chi Minh still came 1st with 11 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze, followed by Ha Noi with 9 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze and Da Nang which bagged 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.
