Funded by the U.S.A-headquartered Douc Langur Foundation, a photo exhibition on wild animals living on the Da Nang-based Son Tra Peninsula is running from 10 until 14 September at the Linh Ung Pagoda.

Here are nice photos vividly capture the beauty of red-shanked douc langurs living on the Son Tra Peninsula.

On display at the event are a total of 85 highly impressive photos, taken over the past years by 24 members of the Han River Photography Club under the city’s Culture and Movie Centre.

These photos capture interesting moments about the lives of wild animals living on the peninsula. Notable amongst them is the red-shanked douc langur, an endangered primate species, which sports maroon-red ‘stockings’ from its knees to its ankles, and appears to wear white forearm length ‘gloves’. Its look is accentuated by black hands and feet.

A lot of visitors are very interested in the displayed photos. A boy is pictured imitating how a douc langur picks flowers.

The ongoing exhibition aims to raise awareness amongst locals and tourists of conserving the natural environment and biodiversity on the peninsula, and advertise the image of animals living in the wild and natural beauty here to non-governmental organisations, conservation and research institutes for better wildlife protection.
