City budged-funded 200 million VND to be spent on traditional wood carving courses for Co Tu people
A total of 200 million VND from the budget of the Da Nang People's Committee (PC) will be spent on launching training courses on traditional wood carving skills exclusively for Co Tu ethnic minority people living in Hoa Vang District.

Following instructions from the municipal PC, the Hoa Vang District authorities will work closely with other relevant local agencies to invite highly qualified and experienced Co Tu artisans to teach these highly practical, much-awaited courses.
The news was released in a letter recently sent by municipal PC Chairman Huynh Duc Tho to the Hoa Vang District PC and the Co Tu ethnic minority community to congratulate them for successfully organising the Co Tu Cultural Festival 2019 and opening the first community-based tourism site in the Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages in the district’s Hoa Bac Commune.
In his letter, the municipal government leader also affirmed the fact that these above-mentioned events clearly demonstrated the Co Tu community’s great efforts to promote distinctive traditional values and create special tourism products in an attempt to attract event more visitors, and enhance the living conditions of the ethnic minority inhabitants in the mountainous communes of Hoa Bac and Hoa Phu.
