On Friday, the Co Tu Cultural Festival 2019 took place at the Guol House in Gian Bi Village, Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.

Traditionally, on behalf of the villagers, a village patriarch of the Co Tu ethnic minority group expresses gratitude to the forest. Then, Co Tu people perform the ‘tung tung da da’dance to show their gratitude to heaven and earth. |
Present at the event was the Chairwoman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee, Mrs Dang Thi Kim Lien.

This year’s event featured the ‘Cong Chieng’ (Gong) play of the Co Tu people, the ‘tung tung da da’dance to express gratitude to heaven, and some traditional dances and folk songs celebrating harvest or hunting seasons. Besides, there was a reading space for local teenagers and children.

To mark this occasion, the Hoa Vang District authorities officially opened the first community-based tourism site in the Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages. This will help to promote the socio-economic development of the villages, and the district as a whole.
