Khanh Ly’s live show on 26 October is expected to touch the hearts of music lovers.

Organised by the Kinh Ky Music Foundation, ‘The best of Khanh Ly: Thanksgiving’ is part of her multi-country tour taking place in big Japanese cities, the 3 Vietnamese regions, and many US states where Vietnamese communities live.

In particular, other renowned singers, namely Anh Khoa, Elvis Phuong, Quang Thanh and Kyo York, will also join the legendary singer in her show.

The singers are highly expected to enthrall Da Nang’s fans with their stunning performances of once-glorious songs created by such musicians as Trinh Cong Son, Pham Duy, Nguyen Anh 9, Anh Bang, and Lam Phuong.

Coming back to Da Nang this time, Khanh Ly and invited signers will continue to organise the ‘Loving Arms’ programme with their joint visit to orphans at the city-based Quang Chau Pagoda.

Born into a traditional family in Ha Noi, she was named Nguyen Thi Le Mai, and stepped onto the stage to sing at the age of nine.

At 17, her career had just begun when she made her debut at a music club in Sai Gon. She took the stage name Khanh Ly from this point onwards.

Up until she migrated to the US in 1975, Ly achieved tremendous fame around the world. She performed in the US and Canada.

Since Ly left Viet Nam for the US in 1975, she returned home twice, but did not perform.

After getting permission to sing in Viet Nam in September 2012, Ly just had her first performance in the country in 2014.
