The Da Nang authorities have approved the adjustment of the detailed planning of the Trung Son Hill relic site in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Lien Commune.

Accordingly, the Trung Son Hill relic site will be refurbished instead of being levelled as the initial plan.

The refurbishment work will be funded by the city-based Trung Nam JSC. Through its funded work, the company wants to share its responsibility with the community in preserving and promoting cultural values of the historical relic site and natural landscapes in the city.

A detailed planning project on levelling the 12ha Trung Son Hill relic site and rearranging such cultural institutions as communal houses, temples and stele houses was approved by the municipal People’s Committee on 12 December 2016.

However, during the implementation of the project, local residents disagreed with the project. Besides, the municipal Department of Culture and Sports has also suggested that the relic site should remain unchanged for the recognition of a municipal-level relic site.

Therefore, the municipal Department of Construction has made an adjustment to the Trung Son hill relic site project, and submitted it to the municipal authorities for consideration.
