The city hosts first-ever Pacific Alliance Film Festival from 6 - 8 Dec.
The Alianza de Pacifico (Pacific Alliance) Film Festival is taking place at the Da Nang-based Le Do Cinema from 6 - 8 December.
This is the first time the embassies of the Pacific Alliance’s 4 member countries, namely Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, have cooperated with the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports to organise such a film festival in the city.
In his remarks at Friday’s opening ceremony for this much-awaited event, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly appreciated this exciting cultural event for strengthening the cooperation and friendship between Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, with the Pacific Alliance’s member countries.
He hoped that more cultural cooperation programmes would be held in Da Nang in the near future so as to strengthen cultural understanding amongst the countries.
Some special films produced by the Pacific Alliance’s member countries are being screened in the city's Cinema during the 3-day event. Notable amongst the films are ‘Violetta Went to Heaven’, ‘The Kids are Back’, ‘Old Friends’ and ‘Lila’s Book’.
