Best events in the city during Tet
A wide range of fascinating events will take place across Da Nang during the forthcoming Tet festival in order to entertain local residents and visitors arriving in the city.
The Ao Dai Show is one of the city's new nighttime tourism products |
From its launch in late 2016, the ‘Charming Da Nang’ arts programme at the Labour Culture House on 2 Cach Mang Thang Tam has been very popular with visitors.
Organised by the Sao Hoang Nguyen Company, the programme will serve tourists over Tet.
Deputy Director of the Sao Hoang Nguyen Company Hoang Xuan Van said the 60-minute programme still maintained 11 delightful performances of singing, dancing, and traditional Vietnamese musical instruments. Each of them showcased the culture and beauty of Da Nang, and that of Viet Nam as a whole.
The programme serves a daily average of between 500 and 700 audience members. During the Tet holiday, the programme will also take place at 4.00pm and 7.30pm each day, except for 24 January (30th day of the 12th lunar month) with only one performance at 4.00pm.
He added during Tet, the ticket prices of the programme were kept unchanged. Accordingly, tickets, priced at 400,000 VND for per foreigner and at 100,000 VND for per Vietnamese visitor, can be bought at the Culture House.
In a similar vein, the ‘The Soul of Viet Nam’ traditional arts show will take place during Tet (except for Wednesdays) at the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong (classical drama) Theater, 155 Phan Chau Trinh. The highly-impressive show helps to preserve and promote the time-honoured stage performing arts forms.
According to Mr Tran Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre, tickets for the show would be kept unchanged at the prices of 300,000 VND for per domestic or foreign visitor, and 100,000 VND for per domestic student, and Quang Nam and Da Nang citizen.
Also during the Tet holiday, the Ao Dai (traditional long dress) Show, a traditional Vietnamese art and cultural performance, will be shown.
The show is organised every day at Ngu Hanh Son District’s culture house, No 1A Tran Van Dan from 7.45pm.
The show, which lasts for 60 minutes, tells the story of the traditional Ao Dai over the past 300 years, and the recognition of the National Dress of Viet Nam from Nguyen Dynasty.
Also, it recreates the scenery of the Imperial Palace of the Nguyen Dynasty; the 100-year history of ancient Ao Dai, traditional wedding costumes, school uniforms, a lotus dance, and beautiful collections of Ao Dai on stage.
Since its debut on 1 January, the show has attracted a daily average of between 100 and 220 visitors.
During the Tet holiday, tickets for the show would be kept unchanged. In particular, tickets for Da Nang and Quang Nam residents cost 200,000 VND per person, and for foreigners 800,000 VND per person. Anyone who book tickets via the website or Fanpage the Ao Dai Show Da Nang will enjoy a discount of 50%.
