The city's musicians write coronavirus song to uplift people's spirits
The novel coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 has inspired some musicians in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to write songs to raise public awareness about the deadly virus, uplift people's spirits in the fight against the disease, and honour healthcare workers on the frontline in the city, and in Viet Nam at large.

Amongst them is songwriter Cao Tam who is a member of the Executive Board of the Da Nang Music Association and a music teacher at the city-based Trung Vuong Junior High School.
Cao Tam has released his song ‘Heart of Viet Nam’ conveying positive messages about the city’s fight against Covid-19.
His song praises the high level of consensus between the government and people of Viet Nam in the anti-coronavirus battle, as well as applauds frontline healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to save coronavirus patients although they have faced an increased risk for exposure to the deadly virus.
“It took me only one day to write this song, and the song is sung by Da Nang-born child signer Hong Minh, the winner of Voice Kids 2015” Cao Tam said.
In addition, musician Nguyen Duc, the Head of the municipal Youth Writing Club, has wrote the ‘Revival’ song about fatherhood dedicated to her daughter who is studying in Spain which has become the epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak in Europe.
“I wrote the song to express my belief that the pandemic will be contained soon so that people in Viet Nam, and around the world, can enjoy peace and happiness again.” the musician said.
