‘Bai choi’(singing while acting as playing cards) and folk music performances which took place on the pavement of Tran Hung Dao at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge in Son Tra District in the last weekend have demonstrated the return of outdoor cultural and entertainment activities along both banks of the Han River after more than three-month coronavirus closure.
Tuong street performances resumed on 17 May with events staged at the eastern end of the Han Bridge from 6.30pm every Sunday.
Meanwhile, the 60-minute ‘The Soul of Viet Nam’ traditional arts show is back at the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre, 155 Phan Chau Trinh Street, and it opens from 7.30pm every day except Thursday, and from 5.30pm on Sundays.
Also in this month, a musical performance entitled ‘Uncle Ho - An Immense Love’ will be staged by artists of the Trung Vuong Theatre at a public park near the Tran Thi Ly Bridge as part of the celebrations for the 130th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).
The Bao Nguyen Food and Event Joint Stock Company will bring the audience relaxing moments with fascinating musical and entertainment events to be held at the BNF outdoor stage during the month.
The Museum of Da Nang and the Museum of Cham Sculpture started to welcome back visitors on 30 April and 4 May respectively. However, these places have seen low visitor numbers.
Museums in Da Nang have focused on enhancing the quality of its services and its guides, organising more fascinating events and opening free for visitors in a bid to make this site more inviting to locals and visitors from both home and abroad.
