Thinh is now 12th grader at the Tran Quy Cap Senior High School in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. Thinh has a great passion for photography.

Despite taking lots of photos of his hometown, Thinh has decided to made his first time-lapse video about Da Nang.

If Hoi An boasts ancient beauty with moss-covered tile roofs and yellow walls of ancient houses, wooden bridges and ancient wells, Da Nang has been emerging as a young and dynamic city, with its modern bridges and beautiful beaches.

“When I wander in Da Nang, I especially like taking beautiful photos about the city from Bach Dang Street, coffee shops on high rise buildings, the peak of the Son Tra Peninsula or bridges spanning the Han River”, Thinh said.

Thinh nurtured an intention of making a time-lapse several years ago. In order to fulfil his dream, Thinh has made a ceaseless effort to learn about time-lapse photography.

"Time-lapse photography is the art of taking single images and combining them to create a video that shows the movement of the environment around you" Thinh shared.

After watching a series of interesting time-lapse videos about cities worldwide on Michael Shainblum's channels, Thinh decided to create a time-lapse video about Da Nang.

Thinh said he never felt tired when wandering around Da Nang for over one month to take photos. Till date, he has captured a total of 12,000 photos of Da Nang from more than 50 different angles.

His 4-minute-long time-lapse video about Da Nang has received great compliments from general public.

Despite his young age, Thinh has travelled to 34 cities and provinces nationwide and captured a total of about 50,000 photos. His best photos were on display at the Da Nang Artistic Photo Exhibition 2019, and advanced to the second round of the 35AWARDS Photo Contest - the International Photo Competition for amateurs and professionals.

Thinh said he plans to create more time-lapse videos about Da Nang and Hoi An, plus other provinces and cities across Viet Nam, in the coming time.
