The Da Nang government today announced that some activities at the Rong (Dragon) and Han River bridges will be temporarily suspended in a bid to stop the spread of novel coronavirus.

The dragon’s head at the eastern end of the Rong Bridge will stop breathing fire and squirting water, whilst the Han River Bridge will stop swinging open, at weekends.

The suspension will begin to take effect starting from tonight until further notice.

Over recent years, the weekend shows of fire breathing and water squirting at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and the opening of the Han River Swing Bridge, have been very attractive to both domestic and international arrivals.
