At a recent press conference it has been announced that the 'Toom Sara Fest-Love Market' programme is  renamed 'Toom Sara Fest - Re-finding Yourself with Love and Music’.

Head of the organising board of the programme Huynh Tan Phap explained the reason for the event taking the name of 'Toom Sara Fest-Love Market' is that the event is scheduled to take place on Valentine's Day (14 February) with the desire to promise a playground full of love between people, nature, culture and music for participants.

However, this name has caused some miscommunication and misunderstanding about how to preserve the culture of the Co Tu ethnic group because love market is not a tradition of the group. Therefore, the organisers decided to change the name of the programme from 'Toom Sara Fest-Love Market' to 'Toom Sara Fest - Re-finding Yourself with Love and Music’.

Mr Phap remarked that the event will be postponed until further notice in light of concerns about the coronavirus.

Till date, more than 500 guests have bought tickets for the event. Customers will either get a full refund for postponed event or keep hold of their tickets for the new date.

The 'Toom Sara Fest - Re-finding Yourself with Love and Music’ programme was due to take place from 14-16 February at the Toom Sara traditional village, nestled in Hoa Phu mountainous commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang.

Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to experience the distinctive culture of the Co Tu ethnic group. Included will be the ‘tung tung da da’ dance, ceremonies to celebrate new rice and a bumper crop, and a traditional wedding ceremony.
