A wide range of cultural events across Da Nang to celebrate the city's liberation
Da Nang will launch a wide range of cultural events across the city, starting from 25 March to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the liberation of the city (29 March).
A ceremony will be held at Ngu Hanh Son District’s Administrative Centre on 25 March to receive a certificate of recognition of Viet Nam's national Intangible Cultural Heritage status for the Quan The Am (Avalokitecvara) Festival, and the first-grade administrative unit.
Two days later, a ceremony to receive a certificate of recognition of a municipal-level relic site for the Nam O historical relic cluster will be organised at the Whale Temple in Lien Chieu District.
Da Nang government will host a ceremony to announce the National Government-issued decision on Da Nang’s development strategies on 29 March.
The Vinpearl JSC will commence construction work on the Van Village resort and entertainment complex project in Lien Chieu District on 30 March.
A photo exhibition entitled ‘My Beloved Country’ is scheduled to take place at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, opposite the Museum of Cham Sculptures, from 27 March - 4 April.
A new display of a Japan’s Sun Lease Company-donated collection of fine arts works will officially opened at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum on 29 March.
Da Nang cinema-goers can enjoy Vietnamese films at the Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street, from now until 29 March. During this period, the Cinema and Film Distribution Centre’s mobile team will screen the films at local military units and schools, as well as in remote areas.
Also, the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2021 will take place along Bach Dang Street on 27 March to mark the 75th anniversary of the Viet Nam Sports Day.
Of special note, SUP lovers can compete in a ‘Da Nang SUP Race 2021’ which is slated to be organised on 27 and 28 March.
