In response to the Viet Nam Sports Day (27 March), Da Nang plans to organise the Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2021 and implement the ‘46 Years-Aspiration and Development’ programme in late March.

The Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2021 is scheduled to take place on 27 March on Bach Dang Street.

The event is expected to attract a combined total of about 2,000 runners. Included will be officers and men from Da Nang-based armed units, militia and self- defence forces, students from the University of Da Nang, athletes from the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, along with members from the unions of Youth, Labour and Women. They will compete in a 1km race along a section of Bach Dang between its intersections with Binh Minh 6 and 2 September streets.

As part of the ‘46 Years-Aspiration and Development’ programme, the Da Nang SUP Race 2021, along with parades of motorbikes and sports bikes sports, will take place on 27 and 28 March. These events are expected to see the participation of between 100 and 120 people.

The funding for these sports events will come from the city budget and other financial sources.
